It&#8217;s been a great year for some reasons and a terrible one for <em>a lot<\/em> of reasons. But one thing is certain; it&#8217;s been a brilliant year for memes<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Memes are silly, but say what you will about social media, memes are special. There&#8217;s something fascinating as to why things gets shared by hundreds of thousands of people. And you think \u00a0&#8216;why did\u00a0<em>that\u00a0<\/em>go viral?&#8217;<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s New Year&#8217;s Eve. I could&#8217;ve written something about New Year&#8217;s Resolutions, but this is better.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take these meme lessons into 2018.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Persistence pays off<\/h2>\n<p>with a little help from Twitter&#8230; Probably the best tweet of the year, which became the most retweeted tweet of all time. When a guy wants his nugs, he gets his nugs.
